Andreas Edouard Tsege Tesfaye comes by this position though a wonderful series of circumstances. Originally born in Montreal, and moving to Belgium and the Netherlands at 1 year old, He returned to Canada in 1979 straight to Regina, Saskatchewan. The word culture shock would be an understatement, but it was only one of the several situations that allowed him to adapt to unique and diverse situations with broad and open mindset. You try being a half Eritrean / Half Dutch curly headed kid with a Dutch accent in the Prairies in 1979?!?! Let’s just say a lot of running was involved!
Having moved to the North in May of 1999 as an Optician, he has had the wonderful opportunity to visit every community in the NWT and in the Kivalik and Kitikmeot Regions of Nunavut multiple times. After leaving the professions after 11 years combined, Andreas found himself in several different Sales and Marketing opportunities of the last several years, until finally finding a home here at CKLB.
As the Sales and Marketing Manager, Andreas's job involves selling, producing and coordinating commercials for his clients. He will also be marketing and promotion of the radio stations, whether it be community events, trade shows, promotions or going door to door at any giving location.
