Who is Burt Freitag?
Burt is the host of the Tropical Outlaw Music Review on CKLB 101.9 in Yellowknife.
On his weekly two hour show, Burt takes the listener on a trip down the back roads of country, Outlaw Country, Folk, Island, Rock and Reggae music.
He also takes the listener into the lives of musicians that he has been fortunate enough to play with, or meet
“Somebody told me once that there are only two types of music. Good and Bad. You will only hear good music on this show, if I don’t like it I don’t play it!”
Burt is also a singer/songwriter from Regina Beach Saskatchewan. He has played and recorded with both up and coming as well as major country bands around Canada.
His forte of course is his harmonica playing. “there’s not too many of us Mississippi saxophone players around.” He laughs.
