William got his start in Radio Broadcasting in 1983, with the Native Communication Society of the NWT.

Originally from Inuvik in the Mackenzie Delta, William’s passion for radio has brought him to many levels of broadcasting. He’s known for his way with the people, especially as a Master of Ceremonies and hosting his own radio show today .

 

William has worked with various radio stations across the north, but has always found working for CKLB Radio as his home radio station, where he feels most comfortable. Today William is the Director of Radio for CKLB Radio. Over the past 20 years William has traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally, explaining to people why it is important to protect the Calving Grounds of the Porcupine Caribou Herd in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

 

Now a days William remains close to the Radio and his Son Will AKA (Willie G-2). Whom he hopes will one day to take over the mic, and to show other young people the skills of radio broadcasting.
