Dane Gibson was the CKLB news director for four years before being hired for the Executive Director position in February of 2005. Previously, Dane owned and operated Gibson Communications, where he held contracts to produce a monthly newspaper for the Yellowknives Dene First Nation, to write and read the CKLB regional news, and to fulfill many other regional First Nations contracts. Prior to starting his own business Dane was a northern journalist for several years. He holds two degrees from the University of Victoria - a BA in Political Science, and a BA in Professional Writing.
