Hunger Strike in Fort Res

Following a friend's suicide attempt, a woman says she's hunger striking until Fort Resolution looks at more training and recreational opportunities.

Sharon Lafferty says the attempt occurred during a meeting with two territorial ministers where she was suggesting ways to bring that activity.

"There's nothing in our community, and there's been a few tragedies in the last year. During that meeting, there was almost another tragedy."

Fort Good Hope convict eligible for parole

Seven years after being convicted of sexual assault, Adrian Happy Kelly of Fort Good Hope is now eligible for parole.

But the mother of the victim says her daughter still bears scars.

"My daughter cannot work because she lost her vision. She cannot type, she cannot read. He destroyed part of my daughter's life and I don't want to see him."

Arctic Winter Games might not include six cut sports after all

Sports that can't be hosted at the Arctic Winter Games in Greenland might not be under their banner at all.

Talks had suggested the possibility of hosting the six cut games at a satellite event elsewhere in the North.
